This is the tale of Raju, a simple guy with whom Misti falls in love and how Raju manages to save himself from Misti’s father and her brothers who are all out to seek revenge on Raju as his father had killed Misti’s uncle and her father had killed Raju’s father. The film is all about how Raju manages to save himself after falling into the most unpredictable of situations.

Expectations were a bit little than usual because there was a tornado named "Baishe Shrabon" coming with it in theaters. But still songs were positive signs for the movie. People usually turn their faces after listening the name of the movie. Really, what an unusual name, "Faande Poriya Boga Kaande Re" (FPBKR). But when KOKA KOLA song arrives at TV, people forget everything. It's that good. And believe me, FPBKR is also very fresh & cool.

The Boga (Boy), Raju [Soham] is a "Chaalchulohin Opodartho" boy who gets an opportunity to sell his father Taraknath's land in village worth nearly 1.5 lakhs. But there lie his father's enemies who are in a promise to abolish the full family of Taraknath. As Raju arrives in the village, Kalikrishna Singha (Dipankar Dey) & his two sons Bhim & Bishu are after his life. Incidentally Mishti (Srabanti) falls in love with Raju. It's one after another problem for him. what will he do now? Really it's "Faande Poriya Boga Kaande Re" (A Boy Cries After Being Trapped).

The movie clarifies in the titles that this movie is inspired from Telugu film Maryada Ramann. And I have to say the movie's story has a freshness in it, totally different from Bengali movies releasing now-a-days (like Paglu). Special credits goes to the spectacular soundtrack of the movie composed by Jeet Ganguly & Samidh Mukherjee. "E Moner Cell Phone" & "KOKA KOLA" are the master tracks. There was nothing so vital about cinematography, but it was good. Screenplay was almost perfect. The end could have been much much much better. Dialogues were regular, nothing cheesy, nothing heroic but sometimes humorist.

Soham was fine. There was nothing heaviness in his role, so he conducted it really good. He had to have a good sense of humor in his role and that he really kept. Shrabanti, honestly speaking, delivered the best of her till date. She was pretty, hot (in KOKA KOLA) and sweet like her name in the movie. Dipankar Dey was fantastic. The actor who played Bishu was tremendous but the actor playing Bhim was awful. The actor who played Mishti's friend Deep was fine. Bharat Kal was in a 15 second appearance. Subhasish was outstanding in a cameo. Supriyo Dutta (Deep's Father) was commendable in a short role.

This was a great debut for director Shoumik Chatterjee. He experiments in Tollywood with something fresh and does very better and different than many other experienced director in the industry.

Allover, Faande Poriya Boga Kaande Re is a full pack of entertainment. It is funny, it is sensible, it is thrilling and it is thoroughly entertaining. A masala movie with substance. Recommended for full family!
